Activated Charcoal, it's been said (and proven!), draws impurities and toxins out of the skin, helping to relieve acne and other skin problems (blackheads, anyone?). Is it effective? Possibly (we must be honest). Is it harmful? Almost certainly NOT. You'll need to experiment though to see if charcoal soap can indeed alleviate your acne (just as you would with any other skin regimen for acne), but you can do so confidently: Charcoal is proven to do no harm to humans (that's us!).

  • Activated charcoal has high adsorptive powers, which means that it draws other elements into itself. That means Activated Charcoal can absorb thousands of times its own mass in harmful substances! Charcoal is activated through heat and exposure to steam and certain chemicals. This process causes the carbon to form enlarged "pores" (the coal's pores, not yours), which are fissures and pockets in its surface. When it is exposed to contaminants, they literally become trapped in the carbon's pores. Charcoal also has antibacterial properties that can help heal wounds. Activated carbon is used for everything from industrial water filtration to medicinal supplements.

  • *Please be informed that our soaps are 100% PALM OIL FREE. If the labels on the photos say that it contains PALM OIL, it's because these are old photos/labels.
